20 Jul 1668 - Upon motion of Capt. Thomas Brereton, Cuthbert Span, William Tignor, Thomas Webb, Thomas Hayes and George Crosby any four of them are by the court appointed to take an inventory of the estate of Mr. William Nutt deceased and ordered Mrs. Mary Brereton Executrix of said deceased exhibit the said inventory upon oath to the next court.

Nov 1680 - Richard Nutt son to Capt. William Nutt does in court make choice of Mr. Richard Nutt to be his guardian which is well allowed of by this Court.

Sep 1683 - Ordered that Peter Presly Sr. and Capt. John Hayne audit the accounts between John Farnefold and William Nutt about the estate of Capt. William Nutt dec'd as far as John Nutt was concerned therein the first Saturday in November next at the Court house and give in their reports thereof to the next court.

1668 - p 56 - An Inventory of all & singular ye goods chattells & debts of Capt. WM: Nutt. In the New Roome. Imprs.
The deceds. wearing apparrell, his plate, a wainscoate, chest, another chest and some goods in it, a feather bed and furniture, a case of knives, 2 cushens, a cupboard cloth, a dozen small cushens, 2 looking glasses, 1/2 a dozen chaires old, one table & forme, one small round table, one paire of andirons, one paire of bellowes.
In ye Chamber over ye New Roome, one feather bed & bolster, one paire of old sheetes, one rugg, one wooll-bed.
In the Stayer Case. A parcell of hoos, asex and nailes.
In the Hall. Three pounds of yarne, a remnant of kersey of 6 yards, 4 yds. of better serge, 8 yds. of red serge, 6 yds. of penniston, 18 yds. old course welchcloth, a paire of rotten drawers, 5 paire of mens yarne hose, 11 paire of women hose, 20 ells of canvas, 22 ells of canvas more, 10 ells of course lockram, 7 ells of lockrum more, 5 yds. of callicoe, 5 yds. of striped callicoe, 10 yds. of Dimitee, 8 yds. of couloured fustian, 10 yds. of Norwich stuffe, 14 yds. of blew linnen, 3 lb. of thread, all in one chest, & ye chest.
A parcell of old pewter, one block bed, bolster & rugg, a parcell of latten ware, potts, kettles, frying pans, pott hooles, spitts racks and tongue, 3 guns, one mill & millwerks, sheets & table linnen, 30 sheepe, two old Negroes, one lame with one hand, one Servt. man one yeare to serve named WM:, one servt. man two yeares to serve named THOM:, one servt. named JOHN 3 yeares to serve, two mares & one horse, 52 head of cattle yonge & old. Debts due to ye deced. John Shaw Wes Bill, David Thomas Bill, severall Accots. from diverse men for Syder - 9ber: 15th 1668.
This is a full & p:fect Invry. of my deced Husbands Estate. Wittness my hand the crop of Tobaccoe not yet certainly knowne, and the hogs because cannot be found.
