Potts to said John F. Fields, his heirs assigns.

George W. Stafford to James H. Elmore

Adjoining J. H. Edwards & Pink Winn – being lot No. 9 in the division of lands of Newman Potts dec’d containing 71.7 acres more or less and fully described by metes and bounds in said division recorded in Book No. 54 page 42, Registrar’s office. The object of this conveyance being to convey to said J. H. Elmore all the right and title of said Geo. W. Stafford and wife in a certain tract of land above referred to by reason of a mortgage duly executed and thereon and recorded in Book No. 67, p 464 Register’s Office to secure a debt therein named, which debt being unpaid, advertisement as required in said mortgage having been made, sale was had at the Court House door under the power of foreclosure contained in said mortgage when and where Jas. H. Edwards became and was declared the purchaser for the sum of thirty dollars.
