Will of Cullen Casey - September 16th 1872

Feeling the uncertainty of life and a desire to make disposition of my wordly means in the event of my death, I Cullen Casey, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and declare this my last Will and Testament.

I request my faithful and trusted friend Lotte W. Humphrey to provide for my body a decent burial. After the payment of my just debts I give and bequeath as follows:

First. I give to my brothers William Casey and Wright Casey five hundred dollars each.

Second. I give to my half-sisters Harriet Lewis, Hepsey Flowers and Jerome Price fifty dollars each.

Third. I give to Stephen H. Denmark one thousand dollars.

Fourth. I give to my esteemed friend Lotte W. Humphrey all the residue of my estate of every description whatsoever and I request him to dispose of such portions of it and at such times for benevolent and Christian purposes as he may so prefer.
