Apparently Micajah and Jeremiah Casey were related but it is not known how. They lived in Wayne County during the same time frame from 1779-1790.

The neighbor's names in Jeremiah's Wayne County deeds had land grants along Aycock Swamp in 1783 and 1794. The swamp begins east of Fremont and flows north easterly to Black Creek so the land location could have been anywhere along the swamp courses. This would have placed Jeremiah on the north side of Neuse River and a good distance from Micajah on the south side of the river.
