John Patrick Dunn's bible states John Quincy married Eveline Isabell Dunn 2 Jun 1840, the daughter of John Patrick and Theresa Hodges Dunn - John Patrick Dunn Bible - Uncle and Father-in-Law

Their children were: Eusebius John Dunn, m. Georgia Humphrey and Rebecca Isabella Dunn who died young.
Eusabia Rebecca, daughter of Eusebius and Georgia Hymphrey Dunn m. John T. Midyette.
Evelyn Isabel Dunn widow of John Q., later married a Myers, no issue

Know all men by these presents that I John Q. Dunn of the county of Lenoir and state of N. Carolina have made nominated and appointed and by these presents do make nominate and appoint Walter Dunn of the county of Lenoir and state of N Carolina my true and lawful agent and attorney in fact for me and in my name and for my use and benefit to ask demand sue for recover and receive of and find any and all persons indebted to me in any manner or form whatever all such sum or sums of money or specified articles as or are in anywise due or may hereafter become due and any contact or agreement heretofore made and to have use and take all lawful ways and means in my name or otherwise for the recovery thereof either by sueing and preventing any and all manner of legal process or by compounding arbitrating all ordering to his best discretion and all proper and necessary acquittences or other sufficients released and discharged as well the settlement of all my honest debts or the collections for me and in my name to make seal and deliver and to do all lawful acts and things whatsoever concerning the premisis as fully and effectually in every respect as I myself might or could do and I personally present. Indenture made between John Q. Dunn and William B. Rhem, both of Lenoir County, $4,000 for 500 acres in Lenoir lying on the north side of Neuse River and south side of Briery Branch adjacent to corner of a patent granted to Simon Bright and a pond Lovick's corner.
